Anyone tried Vida Linux before? How do you find it? Is it suitable for
lazy people like me?

No, think it's better to ask in a more general linux newsgroup.
TurboLinux and RedFlag could be good options if you like to use Chinese out of
the box.

I'm asking here because VidaLinux is just a mod of Gentoo with faster
(binary) installation of the base system, desktop environment and some
applications.

I tried it. It does install easier, but in the end after updates and what
not, you basically have a gentoo system. I went back and did a stage one
install, so I could be completely gentoo.
