Default [VMWARE] get rid of "/dev/dsp busy" message

Hello all,

it's been a long time I've not been using vmware on my gentoo box...
long time ago, I was able to make it use alsa properly (making a
wrapper script using aoss or LD_PRELAODing the libaoss)...

Obviously, after all this time I lost the wrapper: but that is not
what I would really like to do. Did someone found a nicer way to get
rid of that annoying dsp locking issue?

I found out that now exists /dev/adsp - can that be exploited?

There's a package called "vmware-dsp" in portage with description:
"Allows you to use VMware Workstation with ESD and ARTS. I didn't look
up the details of what it does and how it works though.
