Default x config

when i try to config x write it
fail to open filename for writing?
what cane I do "if I not wondt to re install"

There are a few things you can do...

At the command prompt, try to enter "X -configure" and follow the
instructions you get. It will instruct you how to test the generated file.
Once things are working, you should most likely copy that file
to /etc/X11/XF86Config or similar...

If manual editing is needed, try xf86config.

Also, check out the documentation at either www.xfree.org or
www.freedesktop.org about fine tuning keyboard, mouse, screen and so forth.
