Default XD2 Not installing? Unable to determine Platform
Was trying to d/l and install XD2 via wget. The error I get is that it
does not recognize the version. However I am running the stock 2.4.20
kernel from the 1.4 release. There seem to be no ebuilds for it. Anyone
have an idea?

check the ximian site: xd2 is currently only supported on the distros
mentionned there... (and their installer actually checks your distro).

Anyway, iirc a ximian-desktop developers group has been established ...
You might wanna search on forums.gentoo.org to find it.
