Default core dump on a 8.1.7.4.0 client

Hello,

I use a Oracle 8.1.7.4.0 client and I connect to an Oracle 7.3.4.3.0 database.
When then the database stops and restarts, I get a core dump on my client.
Is there any known bugs on Oracle on that subject or any bypass.

Thank you

Etienne

Default Re: core dump on a 8.1.7.4.0 client

1. Which platform?
2. Are you sure it's the Oracle client that's dumping core and not the
application calling the Oracle client? You can load the core into a
debugger, look at the stack trace, see which procedure call is dumping core.

HTH,
Dave
