Default dbca and ocfs2

Hi,

Oracle 10.2.0.2 (x86_64)
SLES 9 SP3 (x86_64) + OCFS2

Clusterware, Oracle SE installed and works fine.

Now I want to create a database with dbca. But dbca does not allow to
install the database files on cluster filesystem nor on raw disk. Only ASM
is available. raw disk is ok, because I dont have one installed, but I need
to install on a external scsi raid formated with ocfs2 and accesible from
all nodes.

Why is the "Cluster Filesystem" option in dbca disabled?

Thanks, Robert

Because SE supports RAC only on ASM. To use OCFS or GFS, you'd need EE.
Contact your friendly neighborhood Oracle representative.
