Default Migrate 8i->10g using transportable tbsp feature ?
Hello,
Anybody ever tried both ways (1/ classical physical migration with
STARTUP UPGRADE and then 2/ creation of a 10g DB in which
you import your 8i tablespaces using the transportable option) and
compared the different problems and quirks related to each solution ?

Option 2 is probably not going to work,as the datadictionary has
changed between 8i and 10g, also in 10g the physical format of the
database changes.
You probably could have gathered this from the documents you usually
don't read, like the migration manual for 10g.
