| Hello, immediately after running ./runInstaller I get Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /tmp/OraInstall2004-04-18_03-52-18PM/jre/bin/java. Please wait... Error occurred during initialization of VM Unable to load native library: /tmp/OraInstall2004-04-18_03-52-18PM/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference what does this mean and how do i fix it? i am a bit new to linux. thank you. You'll need patches from Metalink before you even start, and you'll have to rejig some symbolic links to get the right versions of the gcc libraries in use. It's all laid out for you at dizwell, anyway. (Just in case you were going to ask, no I don't make the Metalink patches available for download from dizwell.com, as to do so would breach all sorts of copyright and licensing issues. If you don't have access to Metalink, then the install of 9i onto Fedora isn't going to work). Regards HJR |
