| Can someone tell me if the SQL Loader utility is covered by the "Standard" license, or if it requires the "Enterprise" license? This is for release 8i. Gleaning this type of information is not easy in Oracle's documentation... Thanks in advance, db |

If that's not the case, Oracle might want to clarify. For Oracle8i, Oracle had a "Oracle8i Database: A Family of Products" document that isted the options, the features and the split by edition. In Oracle9i that has been moving into the document set in the 'New Features' doc, and I con't find the 8i doc on OTN anymore. /Hans |

Some would argue that it's my single contributuon to date :-) Oracle8i Doc is at http://otn.oracle.com/pls/tahiti/tah...?remark=tahiti (tahiti.oracle.com) |

| Good to see the pointers to the 'Family of Products' white papers for 8i and 9i, and even better to see the 10g version. Thanks for the pointers, Mark. Scanning through them, I note that SQL*Loader is not mentioned in any of them. Therefore my original post is a red herring - apologies to the OP. Perhaps someone at Oracle can provide a definitive response. /Hans |

The rule is that if it's not specifically exlcuded in the doc, then it's included. The 'doc' before 10g was a reference to the collateral already pointed out, in 10g, there is now a formal Licence Doc that lists the exclusion between the different editions |
