| My environment is as following: (1) DB on AIX OS: AIX 4.3.3 ML 09 DB: DB2 UDB EE 7.2 Fixpak 05 Backup Software: Veritas Netbackup 4.5 DB Volume: 750GB LTO Drive: 4 drivers Backup time elapsed: 10h (2) DB on HP-UX OS: HP-UX 11i DB: Oracle 8.1.7 Backup Software: Veritas Netbackup 4.5 DB Volume: 400GB LTO Drive: 2 drivers Backup time elapsed: 3h I don't understand. The two databases (DB2 and Oracle) are using the same SAN Storage (EMC), tape library (ATL) and NBU Master Server. Why DB2 is using 10 hours with 4 LTO drivers as well as Oracle is only using 3 hours with 2 LTO drivers? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. |
