| Another complaint I would like to see corrected. The Information Center tool is now pretty much useless to me. Does anyone else besides me remember when information center had a troubleshooting tab that had all of the messages that may appear as well as SQL error messages. The Tasks tab also used to have many more useful catergories. Please stop changing things that are not broke. Besides Information center, I do not like the look and usuabilty of the new Command Center either. Sometimes simple is good. Just my thoughts anyone agree or disagree? MM |

The Information Center has been completely replaced with a help system (also called the DB2 Information Center, naturally) that is organized by database tasks (Installing, Administering, Developing, Troubleshooting, etc). You can get the DB2 Information Center by downloading and installing the *DOCE* package from the FP7 download directories. You'll find all of the error messages listed under the Reference->Messages category. The Command Center (now called the Command Editor) has also improved substantially in FP7. I would be interested to hear your feedback on the latest iterations of these tools to see if they're more to your satisfaction--and if not, what specific changes you would like to see to improve your experience with the tools. I appreciate the info on the download the DOCE and I have tried the new web link for Information Center in fp7. This would suffice for me as far as Information Center is concerned. |
