Default DB2 8.1 Install on Solaris 9

Having downloaded the DB2_V81_ESE_SUN_3264_NLV.tar file for solaris from the
IBM website and another ftp server, I can unpack the tar file which produces
the ese.tar.Z file. When I try and zcat this file it fails with a corrupt
input error. I have tried the solaris and gnu zcat but it fails with the
same error.
Any ideas?

I presume "uncompress" does likewise?

Yes you can use "uncompress" to unzip it. But I do suspect you didn't download
the whole file, compare the file size first.
