This was a clean install - I removed the prior v7 as in my first attempt at installing V8 it ha I/O errors when ever I tried to read a database. With this new install DB2 starts but wgen I go to start the ADMIN server I get the following ERROR 193 : %1 is not a valid Win32 application (I have installed the 32 bit DB2 version - othe rhtings are working). There are a number of other tasks which don't seem to work DB2 Sercurity Server DB2 License server Warhousmanager RIchard |

| %1 is generally seen in batch files (.bat, .cmd, etc.) How do you start it? Using db2admin start command? Any db2admin.bat in your path? | No worries - I have resolved this problem. It was resolved by modifying the services path definitions in the registry. I got the info from the Microsoft Knowledge Base (#812486) Richard "Richard" <rcotteri@bigpond.net.au> wrote in message news:a3t7b.91745$bo1.70326@news-server.bigpond.net.au... > Hi, > I have just installed DB2 ESE V8 + fp3 in a WIn2000 (_SP2). > > This was a clean install - I removed the prior v7 as in my first attempt at > installing V8 it ha I/O errors when ever I tried to read a database. > > With this new install DB2 starts but wgen I go to start the ADMIN server I > get the following > > ERROR 193 : %1 is not a valid Win32 application (I have installed the 32 > bit DB2 version - othe rhtings are working). > > There are a number of other tasks which don't seem to work > > DB2 Sercurity Server > DB2 License server > Warhousmanager > > RIchard > > |
