| Hi folks, I cannot use "db2gcf -k" to remove db2 processes on DB2 ESE v9 FP1 and AIX5L v5.3 TL5 SP4 environment. The db2diag.log reports error as below: 2007-01-11-16.12.17.895783+480 I6561978A285 LEVEL: Error PID : 233918 TID : 1 FUNCTION: DB2 Common, Generic Control Facility, gcf_kill, probe:220 MESSAGE : ECF=0x900002C1 DB2 kill service failed DATA #1 : String, 38 bytes 'db2inst1', 0 : could not be killed. I found the IBM webpage http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview...id=swg1IY46337 that stated "db2gcf -k" should work without any failures on ESE, but that situation is on DB2 v8. Anyway, I followed the above webpage's recommendation to use db2nkill, and it works. Is it a new bug on DB2 ESE v9.1? Does anyone experience that? |
