| Hey All, I have searched the web for a definition of the following DB2 services that are activated on my Win2000 server. DB2 JDBC Applet Server DB2 License Server As far as I can see I can disable these two services and still use DB2 for simple DB2 client to DB2 server connection without a problem (and that is all I require). Can someone tell me exactly what they do? Even better could someone send a link to a site with the definitions of all the DB2 windows services? I cannot find anything on IBM's site and I would like to stop an useless services on my server. Thanks, Ray |

If you are not using java or the type-3 ("net") driver you can stop this service. > DB2 License Server This is used on the server to manage license policies. It is necessary on the server, but not on clients. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |

It may be coming out in a book, though. ;-) -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |
