| Hi all, I am trying to get MS Project to create and save data back to DB2 via the IBM ODBC driver. Both MSSQL and Oracle work, but when saving back to DB2 it crashes leaving the DB with only 3/4 of the tables created. Has anyone had experience with this system configuration ? If not, could anyone suggest some data migration tools so I can convert the Oracle db schema into DB2... Thanks in advance Seth |

| It should work. Please provide details (versions / fixes of Project and DB2, error messages, etc), as "it crashes" is not very much for us to work with. | Hi Seth; I have experienced the same problem with a simple "Save As" from MS Project 2000(build 9.0.2000.0224) to a DB2 UDB V8.1.3 on Windows XP Pro. I couldn't spend a ton of time on it, but a cursory look led me to believe it was a data type incompatibility between SQL2000 "text" data type and what ODBC tried to send to DB2. Hope this helps. If I get a chance, I'll try to look into it more and will definitely watch this thread with interest.
