Default SQL1084C Error - Shared Memory - RH7.0 2.2.16

Hello,

I have seen this error posted before and solutions posted as well but I have
2.2.16 and everything seems to be for a kernel greater than that.

These keys are not valid in 2.2.16:
kernel.sem
kernel.msgmni

It seems as if I need to add these to sysctl to make things jingle. Here is
what I have added to sysctl.conf so far:

kernel.shmmax=1073741824
kernel.sysrq=1
fs.file-max=8192
fs.inode-max=32768

Any ideas?

You don't mention which version/fixpack of DB2 you are using.

However, for DB2 UDB v8, you must be running RedHat 7.2 or newer, and in
your subject line you indicate that you're running 7.0.

See http://www-3.ibm.com/software/data/db2/udb/sysreqs.html for system
requirements.
