1. If you want FP8 - why are you using FP5_U800664.tar as file name? This file
cannot exist! In addition to this - file name is wrong as well: use
FP8_U800664.tar.Z instead.

2. For V8.2 fixpack - use fixes2 instead of fixes:

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/produc..._U800664.tar.Z

I believe this is a typo in the email.

Could you post here a link to IVM Web page hosting an incorrect link? I will
contact web page owner and have the link corrected.

Thank you for your help,

It looks like IBM has been moving fixpaks around recently.

FP6a and FP8 are in a different sub-directory than the other Version 8
fixpaks (including Fixpak 6b).

FP6a and FP8 are in ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/db2/fixes2 and
the others (1, 2, 3, 4a, 5, 6b, 7a) are in
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/db2/fixes

Since FP6a and 8 are in a separate directory, I wonder what that means
regarding FP6b?

If there was a problem with the link for Solaris fixpaks, it looks like it
was corrected from what I can see.

I think the problem seems to be with my Mozilla
Firefox web browser running on Fedora core 3.
I was not able to connect to ftp web server
via Firefox.
Later I tried with Kconqueror and it connects to the ftp server
to get the solaris fixpak after asking me to accept
a cookie.
So I think the IBM web link is ok.
Thanks all for your help.
