Unicode and UTF-16

DB2 UDB v8 on AIX

I see that Unicode UTF-8 and USC-2 are only available for version 8.
I also thought I saw something that referenced UTF-16 for DB2 V9.
Does anyone know if this is correct? Is DB2 UDB V9 available now?
