Default V8 FP3 - Linux / question on missing JDK

Hi there,

The linux V8 FP3 fixpack readme tells the JDK 1.3.1 Release 4 needs to be
installed, manually, and should be in the FP3 cdrom.
Well, I have removed the JDK 1.3.1 then searched for the new JDK in the FP3
(dowloaded from the support site), and it is not there.

From the App Dev link / Java, we can download JDK 1.3.1 SR5. I suppose that
this release, number 5 should work ?

Thanks for your help,

Jean-Marc

You don't need the JDK 1.3.1 from the IBM DB2 site. You can get it from the
IBM JDK site (which I assume is the one you referred to).

Hi Mark,

I assume that's the site I'm redirected to, from the DB2 pages.
I have installed SR5 and it works.

My point was also that FP3 delivery says the new JDK SR4 would be installed,
if actual JDK has been removed.
But for that, the JDK needs to be in the FP3 tar file :-) ... and it's NOT.

Cheers,

Jean-Marc
