In Books Online, look at the topic
Creating and Maintaining Databases
Databases
Estimating the Size of a Database

This applies to SQL 2000. If you are using SQL 2005, you will have to
search Books Online for "row size" yourself. :-)

For SQL 2005, lookup 'calculating database size' in the BOL index - I
rewrote the topic for 2005 to make it more understandable.
