Ok here goes, if I purchase for example SQL Server 2000 Ent 1 Proc [USA edition] , will I have any problem with installing it if in UK, i plan to move there soon, the only issue i can think of is support, evertyhing else should be the same, right? People in the UK have to accept that SQL Server can't spell properly. :-) There are German, French, Japanese and a few more language versions, but the version for US English is likely to be wide use even in countries where these languages are spoken. As for support, I can't say that my knowledge of MS Support is fantastic, but I find it difficult to imagine that if you would call Microsoft in UK they would tell you to call Microsoft in the US, just because you bought your license there. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esquel@sommarskog.se Books Online for SQL Server 2005 at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...ads/books.mspx Books Online for SQL Server 2000 at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinf...ons/books.mspx |
