changing the server name

Greetings,

I have built a new server featuring W2k server using SQL
server 2000. Now, the problem is I have built the new
database but i cant cinnect to it thru cold fuison5 odbc's
because it cant find it. How do i change the name of the
sever and keep my data and let the cold fusion see the
database thru the odbc.
