Hi Michael,

You may be experiencing the following problem:

Q814410 - FIX - Performance Degradation and Memory Leak in the SQL Server
ODBC
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=814410

You may want to contact Microsoft Support directly to determine if this is
the specific issue you are experiencing, and if so, they can provide you
with the hotfix. : )

I also have a memory leak,I have found a setting in the
SQL server Manager. You could control the memory by using
the fixed memory setting as oppossed to the dynamically
allocated setting. This will limit the amount of memory
it consumes. I just tried this and wont know if it works
until tommorow. I have been having to reboot the server
every morning to free up memory. It just seemed to grow
until the server comes to a crawl. I will write on the
affects it had after the changes.
