Default ODBC Connection

I have a problem creating an ODBC link from a Window 2000 Descktop to a SQL
database. This works on other machines with the same setup and on the same
location. The error message I am getting is :-

Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 11004
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]ConnectionOpen
(Gethostbyname()()).
Connection failed:
SQLStateL: '09001'
SQLServerError: 11
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]General network error.
Check you network documentation.

I can telent the connection and also Ping the connection.

Any ideas why I can`t connect ?

Si
