ODBC SQL State:42000

Have the following message when add new logon in domain
sql server:
Microsoft SQL-DMO(ODBC SQL state 42000)

Error 15401: Windows NT user or
group 'Domainname\username' not found. Check the name
again.

Anyone who knows how to solve the problem please contact
me.
