| In Enterprise Manager, you can configure SQL to use a certain memory range (you'll have to stop and restart SQL for it to take effect). Try that. You should allocate at least 1/3 - 1/2 of your server's memory to SQL, sorry not sure if there is an actual formula out there (like there is for a pagefile) -- ************************************************** ***************** Andy S. | Thanks for the reply. I'll first need to explain why this occurs. I'ts got to have something to do with the new vb-applications they have installed, because this server has been running without any problems for 3 years. If I find the reason(s) for this problem and it is related to the way the new apps are written, then I can give the developers better guidelines to write better apps or have them reviewing their apps designwize. jobi "Andy Svendsen" <andy_mcdba@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:eFCihb4gDHA.1668@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > In Enterprise Manager, you can configure SQL to use a certain memory range > (you'll have to stop and restart SQL for it to take effect).
