Default Timeout Expired on an Query for a unique user.

Hi everybody....
I am experiencing something very bizarre on on of my
applications.

The server is a SQL 6.5 with SP5a.

The client is a NT WS, SP6, running an application mad
with VB 5 using SQLSRV32.dll to connect to the server.

My program makes a query in order to retriev some data and
t some labels.

If one of the fields (description) retrieved by the query
contains the symbol # (sharp) the program stops responding
until it gets the TimeOut message.

But this occurs only to one of my users, just the one that
needs to print labels.

I have re-formatted and re-installed the client computer
and the problems remains the same.

I have used another client computer and the problem
remains the same ?

Which can be the problem ?

Best regards
