Default batch query on mySQL
Sorry for the trivial question, but... I have two quick questions.

I have a document with words that are in a database, and some of the
words may not be there, and others may have multiple entries. I
understand that there is a way of doing batch query that makes is much
faster. Can someone tell me what the command is.


I am basically looking up a bunch of words (may end up being phrases)
that have associated values with them. Is there a better way of doing
this than a mySql?

What is the format of the document? Text? Word? Excel? These are all
relevant to the question. What platform (Windows? Unix/Linux?) - this
also matters as you can get very different answers for each platform

if they are in a text/ascii format
[EXAMPLE:
word1
phrase one
more
phrase three
]

load these into a temporary table in the db then look at FULL-TEXT SEARCH

or roll your own using like...
