Michael,

I am looking for a database based in a third party hosting company for
the Internet. Honestly I have no idea if it would be better on Windows
or Unix. I imagine MySQL because I had something like that running but
the necessary "sendmail" option was unavailable. I am looking for a
database I can arrange the html myself. A full admin section,
passwords, several groups and something not complicated. The reason I
ask for a relational one is because people need to search on different
criteria (example: item, date, name, etc.) and the group feeding the
base should use an Excel sheet for many items or a singular form per
item. For both ways the posibility to include a pic should also be
included. The database should be able to contain several thousand
items at a time but I guess that has to do with the servers capacity.

I am looking on the Net later today to find the name of the web
database I used years ago. If I find it I will send you a link. It was
easy for non-programmers to set-up quite fast and construct the hml.
But I was told at that time the "sendmail" option was under
construction and to be used with the existing program soon. It
unfortunately never happened and the database was then useless for my
projects. I write you at your personal address once I remember the
name of the program. Maybe the core database an be used and the
sendmail cron option can just be added?

Pardon me all if I may be talking some nonsens here but I am a
neophyte (yes, I know, I repeat myself... ). :-)

Thanks.

Cats & dogs.
