Default ICONV as in MySQL?
Hello,

Is it possible to use MySQL to convert from one encoding to another,
e.g.

CONVERT('中國' USING big5)

assume the original string is in UTF8, I want to convert to big5

can't make this work yet...

yes, it is. try this:

select convert(col1 using big5) from table
