Default Install Error: Mac X 10.4.11

Attempting to install the 5.0.45.pkg on a Mac 10.4.11 Firewire machine.
The install starts, installs the "There were errors install the
software" and "Please try installing again".

1. Mysql is not running.
2. I have tried deleting the dmg file and getting a new copy.
3. I have deleted the Dir @ /usr/local/
4. Same message if it's a clean install or an upgrade over an existing
install.

Suggestions ? I haven't a clue.

Hi Johnny,

maybe the OSX port of http://www.apachefriends.org is a solution for you,
very easy to (un)install.

regards,

Toni
