 mysql cold backup not updating hi I'm using mysql 5.0.27 on fedora core 6. I have the problem that after the first cold database restore I do, the data never updates. Fore example, mysql is started for the first time and creates its initial tables. I stop the server, mv /var/lib/mysql and copy across the backup up / var/lib/mysql into ibdata and logfiles. I fix the permissions and start the database. No errors in /var/log/mysqld.log The data works fine. I do the same process above a few days later, and my files on the backup show they are updated and I know they have new info in them, but they still continually show the old data. No errors in the log. Am I missing a step? Thanks Ely      |
