| Dear Sir, I'm a newbie to MySQL Cluster. I needed to install MySQL cluster in a Sun Solaris 10 (x86, 32) machine. So I tried to find MySQL 5.1 "Max" package. But I could not. Therefore I downloaded the mysql-5.1.22-rc-solaris10-i386.pkg.gz file and installed it. But there were no files called ndb_mgmd, ndbd, etc.. in the mysql/bin/ directory. So probably this package might not included the cluster. So please guide me , how to download MySQL 5.1 or 5.0 Max package for Solaris 10. Thank You in advance. |

Maybe we were confused by why you were installing a non-clustering version and expecting to find clustering features. Maybe some of us spent 20 seconds with Google and found out that the HA version of MySQL for Solaris is supplied by Sun, on the Sun Java Availability Suite DVD-ROM, and figured you'd puzzle it out on your own. Now, since we know so little and found this out so easily, clever you should be able to find the REST of the instructions for doing what you want to do online even faster than we did. -- Revenge is an integral part of forgiving and forgetting. -- The BOFH |

I installed the one and only package that is available in the MySQL downloads page. Because I thought since there isn't a specific max package, the available one may include the features of the cluster. >Maybe some of us spent 20 seconds > with Google and found out that the HA version of MySQL for Solaris is > supplied by Sun, on the Sun Java Availability Suite DVD-ROM, and figured > you'd puzzle it out on your own. > Of cause Sun Cluster HA for MySQL is provided by SUN. But it is not enough to install cluster. It is required MySQL 5.0 or 5.1 "Max" server for solaris. I thought you guys would know from where I could download it. So if anybody have downloaded it or know where to downloaded it, please be kind enough to reply this post thnx again. |
