| I'm currently using a 4.0.27 installation I inherited from someone else. I'd like to upgrade to 5.1(.15) - bells, whistles, bugfixes, security - yay. 1) The docs at "http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/en/upgrade.html" appear to suggest moving to 4.1, then to 5.0, and then to 5.1. (With a dump and restore for each move.) 2) However, my usage is light: a handful of tables, no more than 300 rows, no messing with character sets, nothing strange or complicated. Is making the jump directly to 5.1 that risky? Robert Huff |
