Default ASE 15 / Open Client compatability

Hi All

I'm looking at a project to upgrade an ASE 11.9.* environment to ASE
15. Question is, what versions of Open Client have been verified for
use with ASE 15?

Regards

Little Al

Hello,

The Release Bulletin for each platform has a compatibility matrix that
lists which Sybase products were tested with ASE 15. Here is the
Solaris matrix:

http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/to...aserbsun86.htm

It will not list products that have been end of lifed like Open Client
11.1.1 as being compatible with ASE 15. However, we normally see very
good backwards compatibility with older client products and newer
database versions. The only catch being that an older client
application might not be able to take advantage of newer features in
ASE 15.

Thanks,
Neal
