connect to ASA6.0 from VB6.0

Hi,

I need to build an application in VB that reads data from ASA 6.0. I
checked Sybase site, it says only ASA7.0 can use ADO/OLE DB, does that
mean I have to use ODBC?Could someone send me some sample code or
pointing a direction?
