| Yes, AIX 4.2.1 is very stable, and we may decide to keep it. That leads to my next question, is Sybase 12.5 compatible with Aix 4.2.1? Tom. I don't know if it will run on 4.2.1, it wouldn't be supported on 4.2.1. -bret |

| Tom, I am almost certain that AIX 4.2.2 will not run Sybase 12.5. IBM dropped support for AIX 4.3.3. at Christmas. Vendors will not develop code for unsupported operating systems. Yes, I know Sybase 12.5 has been out a while, but Sybase will drop support for versions of 12.5 which were designed for (now) unsupported operating systems. I personally migrated a 11.5.1 on AIX 4.3.3 to 12.5.0.3 on AIX 5.1. I was under the impression that 11.5.1 on AIX 5L was not an option. You can find the Sybase compatibility chart at http://www.sybase.com. Please forgive the top posting.
