We're looking for a Sr. Sybase DBA for our company, FOLIOfn. We're
located in Vienna, VA just outside of D.C. FOLIOfn is a web-based
brokerage and separately managed accounts platform firm. We are
seeking a highly motivated senior database administrator (DBA) with 5+
years of Sybase production experience to work in a closely-knit team
environment enhancing an existing online brokerage web application.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a diversified environment in
which you will gain experience and exposure to all DBA related skills.
Moreover, you'll be able to work in a small, non-bureaucratic,
collaborative department, where you can initiate changes and
improvements in a matter of days if not hours, as opposed to weeks or
months.

Responsibilities:
·Provide primary support for a Sybase 12 production system running on
Solaris
·Review, approve, apply and test patches, changes and/or modifications
to Sybase relational database schemas
·Assist with Performance Scalability analysis and tuning
·Data Modeling
·Work closely with the Solaris Systems Administrators as well as the
applications development team to design, implement and test new
features and functionality.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will be expected to quickly acclimate to the
dynamic environment at FOLIOfn, and be able to take ownership of both
production support and software development projects. You will need to
meet the following criteria to qualify:
·5+ Years Sybase Production Support
·Database Modeling experience
·Sybase Replication server experience
·Scripting Experience (perl, korn, etc.)
·Data Warehouse experience a plus
·Financial Industry Experience a plus
·Good communication skills
