Default Changing Run-time parameters at command line

Hi,

another simple question:

what's the correct command line syntax to change specific run-time parameters,
e.g. 'client_min_messages'.

I understand you can define/change them in the .conf file ...

an example, or a pointer to RTFM would be great =)

thanks,

richard
