OTOH, in order to get something accepted you've got to show why it should be accepted, so if it's a brand-new feature it might be a better idea to post it here and ask folks to reply with real-world cases where they could use the feature. Keep in mind that the bar is higher if there's another way to accomplish something; the community generally doesn't accept things that are purely "syntactic sugar". -- Jim Nasby jim@nasby.net EnterpriseDB http://enterprisedb.com 512.569.9461 (cell) ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 2: Don't 'kill -9' the postmaster |

If the proposal is very technically specific, you might prefer -hackers instead. - -- Greg Sabino Mullane greg@turnstep.com PGP Key: 0x14964AC8 200705291208 http://biglumber.com/x/web?pk=2529DF...9B906714964AC8 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQFGXFBJvJuQZxSWSsgRA1HAAJ9p0L+CrMCgShRYnyyy2B sBH/ilQACgmafw MCqQKAk8ndTCegjm/nCDM9I= =nLYf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 5: don't forget to increase your free space map settings |
