| I am aware of the max_connections and recompiling the kernel (FreeBSD), but how many connections can one database server handle without degrading performance to much. I am in a situation where I can end up in handling thousands of connections, not doing much load each, but they are connected. Of course this depends on many things, but what are your experiences ?
