EN-668 Senior Software Engineer - Irvine, CA - Staff
Location: Irvine, CA

A client in Irvine needs a Senior Software Engineer with extensive
experience with C++ programming, an understanding of client/server,
and kernel level concepts. An understanding of distributed software
models and web server architectures for product solutions are
required.

Responsibilities

· Write and review design documents and functional specs.
· Implement custom solutions from core product to satisfy customer
needs using C/C++, SQL and Java.
· Fix reported bugs in product filter drivers and client/server
solution.
· Debug and fix issues with customer implemented solutions.
· Perform maintenance on current custom solutions.
· Work with other developers and development teams to integrate
software modules into an overall product offering.

Requirements

o. 5+ years experience writing Windows Device Drivers (Required)

o. Strong ANSI C/C++ programming skills (Java a plus)

o. Experience developing multi-tier, multi-threaded client/server
solutions on Windows and/or Linux platforms (Required)

o. Solid experience with Windows XP and 2000 (Linux and Vista is a
plus)

o. Low-level operating system knowledge; specifically memory/resource
management, scheduling and process control, and I/O libraries
(Required)

o. Work with kernel level development tools, debuggers, etc. such as
DDK, and SoftICE (Required)

o. Experience with HTTP, TCP, and UDP protocols (Required)

o. Expertise in SQL data modeling a plus

o. Minimum of BSEE.CS or equivalent degree (Required)
