A leading developer of industrial automation software needs a software
engineer to perform complex product design, system analysis and
programming activities, which may require extensive research. Work is
typically highly complex system design or product architecture design.

This position:

o. Contributes to or develops architectural designs, independently
develops complex system designs that meet the requirements. Provides
manpower/time estimation for the design. Considers tradeoffs between
requirements, speed, cost and reliability in the choice of a design
approach.

o. Develops and documents code and unit tests, according to the
development process, that satisfies the software design. Integrates
with other components, solving highly complex system problems, to
produce a final product. Responsibilities typically extend to the
technical management of the design, testing and integration of other
engineer's work in related areas

o. Leads or participates in reviews of documents, designs, code, test
cases and user documentation.

o. Drives or contributes to software development capability
improvement in the areas of software development practices, technology
utilization and development tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

o. 7+ years experience coding in Java, Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE)
and Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) (Required)

o. 3+ years experience using software development tools such as
Microsoft Eclipse Framework or VisualStudio.NET (Required)

o. Experience with Web-based standards such as XML, XSLT, XSD, XPATH,
WSDL (Required)

o. Experience with application server development on platforms such as
JBOSS or WebSphere Application Server (Required)

o. Experience with Windows, Linux and Unix (Required)

o. Experience in database development using Oracle or SQLserver
(Required)

o. Deep understanding of all components of service-oriented
architectures (SOA) (Required)

o. BS Degree in CS or EE (Masters preferred)

o. Familiarity with process control, industrial information and
automation systems a plus
