 Adding Printer problem on Solaris build 5/08 I upgraded to Solaris Sparc version 5/08 yesterday and for some reason I can't add a new printer using Preferences->System preferences->add/remove printer. I fill it in just fine and it shows the proper ppd file but when I hit ok after doing an add attached printer it comes up with just an error box. I clicked on help and it says to check the Show Command Line Console box and I do that but it shows nothing in the box. Anyone else have this experience? Thanks in advance. Gary.      |

I used lpadmin to configure my Z11 for a Z12 ppd and it works in black and white at least. This sucks! They should have updated the ppd's like promised. I can't even use the Preferences->System Preferences->add/remove printer with this release. Don't upgrade if you don't have to. Gary. |

I can't even use Launch->Preferences->System Preferences->Add/Remove Printer! It just doesn't work with Sun 5/08. Don't upgrade unless you have to. Gary. |
