| Again, I hope this is the correct forum. I have a network of Sun Solaris 8 systems and I'm looking to ascertain just what Java packages are installed on the central server and what additional packages I may need to have a complete Java environment. Executing a pkginfo | grep -i java on the server gives me a list of packages that tell me I have the following components installed: SUNWadmj Admin/Install Java Extension Libraries SUNWdtjxt Java Extensions SUNWj2pi Java Plug-in SUNWjcom Java Communications API SUNWjcomx Java Communications API (64-bit) SUNWjmfp Java Media Framework Player SUNWjsnmp Java SNMP API SUNWjvdem Java demo programs SUNWjvdev Java developer's package SUNWjvjit Java JIT Compiler SUNWjvman Java VM man pages SUNWjvrt Java VM runtime environment Is this a complete Java environment? I feel I'm missing some packages because I have one application (at least) that dwon't start and errors out with 'exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: getJREVersion'. What, if any, packages might I be missing? Thanks for any insight on this. Monty |
