| Hello. Thanks to the help of Wolfgang, jumpstart is now working. But it looks very awful I'm installing on a 280R and connect to the system over the RSC from a Gnome-Terminal or xterm on a Gentoo Linux or Solaris 10 system. $TERM is equal to "xterm". So I set "terminal=xterm" in the sysidcfg file: $ cat /data/software/solaris/Solaris10/U5/sysidcfg/sys02 keyboard=Swiss-German system_locale=de_CH.UTF-8 timezone=Europe/Zurich terminal=xterm timeserver=10.0.1.11 name_service=DNS {domain_name=unx name_server=10.0.1.11,10.0.2.1,10.0.15.4 search=unx} nfs4_domain=dynamic root_password=r... network_interface=PRIMARY {hostname=sys02 default_route=10.0.0.254 ip_address=10.0.1.22 netmask=255.255.248.0 protocol_ipv6=no} security_policy=NONE service_profile=limited_net But this looks very bad: hai X Windows Platform required Fonts Package \ 7,19 / Sun In44niBand Sockets Direct Protocol GLIB - Library of useful outines for C \ progra77ing Audio Drivers - It was also quite a chore to do the selections in the screens where you have to use the cursor (ie. when selecting what locales to use and when setting up the slices). I suppose it's so broken, because the "terminal" definition doesn't actually match what the terminal (gnome-terminal normally, but I also tried xterm) actually expects. What should I set the terminal to in the sysidcfg file? Thanks a lot, Michael |

With (more or less...) nice colors, but, much more importantly, the display doesn't get all screwed up, when a cursor key is pressed. Excelent! Thanks a lot, Michael |
