Doing this will make it impossible to install more than one machine from your installation server! regards Bernd -- |

| Hi thanks a lot to everyone who replied to my post. Yes everything in /etc/bootparams is one line. I've tried using fully qualified domain name, short name & IP address. No luck at all. I would appreciate it if somebody can give me a solution to this. I need to jumpstart quite often. Thanks, Rajesh. Did you ever install a machine with this installation server? Maybe you should double check the mini root on your installation server used by the client ( .../Solaris/Tools/Boot ). Create a new mini root from the installation cdrom and compare it with the existing directory. Bernd |

Maybe root cant mount it? * How does your share look? * Whats your bootparams? * How did you add the client to TFTP? i.e. did you use the add_install_client script? if so, from where? /Johan A |
