| Hello All, Has anyone experienced some weirdness this month with their Sun Update Manger? I logged into it the other day and all of a sudden I've got about 200 patches listed that I've already installed. I know I shouldn't trust this tool further than I can throw it, but I check in with it every once in a while and apply a random patch now and again because I like to see how this tool is coming along. I'd really like to see this tool become usable in the future, it could be quite handy if it were reliable. Thanks for any comments. - Richard Drouillard |

Either the only one with problems or the only one actually using it Seriously, for problems with SUC I recommend Sun's forum: http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=871 At least you usually find people who have the same or similar problems. >> I'd really like to see this tool become usable in the future, it could be >> quite handy if it were reliable. Me too, but if I'd held my breath, I would be dead for a few years now. Take a look at pca (see sig) - if that works for you and you like it, you'll at least save yourself some headache while waiting for SUC to become usable. mp. -- Systems Administrator | Institute of Scientific Computing | Univ. of Vienna | http://www.par.univie.ac.at/solaris/pca/ Patch Check Advanced | Analyze, download and install patches for Sun Solaris |
