You can get the ghostscript and gsfonts package from blastwave.org.

The first step to test your driver will then resemble:
/opt/csw/bin/gs -q -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=laserjet \
-sOutputFile=/dev/lp1 /opt/csw/share/ghostscript/examples/alphabet.ps
